Our Story
Welcome to The Bull
The Bull is situated in the heart of the ‘Barton in the Clay’ village, which lies at the foot of the northern slope of the Barton Hills. Built in 1694, the building is over 300 years old. The Bull Pub is prominently positioned in the centre of this popular Bedfordshire village, which is perfectly located in the rolling countryside, the gateway to Barton Hills national nature reserve, and the beautiful Sharpenhoe Clappers.
We only use local producers and suppliers for our menu ingredients; to ensure that all the food we serve is fresh and flavoursome. In addition we pride ourselves in being a local business that supports the local economy: Our succulent meat is supplied by Deacons, a local family butcher, our fresh fruit and vegetables comes from Nigel Mann, another local source, and our high quality artisan cheeses come from the perfectly named ‘Wobbly Bottom Farm’.
